The advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather Frankfurt commissioned us to produce a spot to promote the information services of German public television channels ARD and ZDF. The solution proposed by Martin Allais was to create a film whose technical execution would bring designs inspired from genuine cave paintings to life through animation, the allowing the viewer to travel from Prehistory to the 21st Century. To achieve a sense of continuity despite the huge jumps in time involved, the technique used was a mix of traditional animation and 3D. Apart from the 65” spot and two 15” teasers, the project also meant the creation of an interactive online game.
